Sublimation Printing
What is sublimation printing?
Sublimation printing is a heat-based printing method where designs are transferred onto surfaces like fabric, plastic, or coated paper using special sublimation ink. The process starts by printing artwork onto sublimation paper. A heat press is then used to apply high temperature and pressure, turning the ink into gas without going through a liquid stage. This gas bonds with the surface of the material, resulting in a vibrant, long-lasting, full-color print.
This technique is especially popular for creating custom products such as T-shirts, mugs, phone cases, and promotional items. Since the ink becomes part of the material, the result is a durable print that won’t peel, crack, or fade.
Sublimation is widely used in the print-on-demand industry, where creators need high-quality prints for products that are made to order. It’s ideal for polyester fabrics and coated items, making it a go-to method for personalized merchandise.
